MY TESTIMONY
MY TESTIMONY

Exactly nine years ago, I stepped my feet on the soils New Zealand to join my husband to live happily ever after .
You see, I had a lot of fears about NZ especially with regards to my career. I knew I had to cross the hurdle of three different exams to be able to practice as a doctor but arriving NZ dealt me so many blows that I hadn’t bargained for!
.
.
The NZ accent was on another level, I couldn’t understand it!
The jokes, I didn’t get them; a lot of times I’ll just laugh because they are laughing. Lol
Or was it the way they stylishly ask you a question but indirectly are instructing you! Chai! These people are polite!
I once got asked by my manager “Blessing would you like to have a chat?” I said “No, I’m busy” and he left! Lol. I realised years later that he was requesting to have a meeting with me.
.
.
Back to my career gist, life was very challenging here. I heard about how they had stopped writing the medical registration exams in NZ (wrong information btw), I was advised to change career, there were days I cried and wondered why God brought me here because I felt stuck!
However, in the midst of all the challenges and seeming impossibilities, I didn’t give up, I didn’t lose hope and God showed up, He proved Himself and I passed all my exams.
As if that was not enough, getting a job as a doctor here was not an easy task. In fact, one of my colleagues told me that it was easier to pass the tough exams than to get a job as a doctor here. Yet again, God showed up! I got my first job as a doctor and I’ve gotten several others after. Glory to God.
Becoming a citizen of this beautiful country after six years of living here was another miracle and confirmation that God brought me here, He brought us here .
.
.
Nine years later, He’s made all things beautiful indeed.
Are you reading this and feeling discouraged about your current situation and almost giving up on God? Please don’t lose hope! The Bible says “weeping may last for a night but joy comes in the morning”.
God makes all things beautiful in its time and your joy will not elude you in Jesus name. Don’t give up, press on, keep on keeping on, make that phone call, send that email, register for that course, apply for that job, keep knocking on that door, keep praying. God is faithful, He is working for you behind the scenes.
God bless you
