MY PASTOR SAID...
MY PASTOR SAID...

At a Relationship mentorship meeting today, we were able to discuss and answer questions like: when is the right time to propose, how long to wait before you say yes, what dating is, if you can date multiple people at the same time etc.
However, one question I found interesting was - what to do if you and your partner are convinced that God has spoken to you about getting married but the pastor said that God told him that they shouldn’t get married, what do you do?
My counsel to singles is:
Don’t get married to someone just because a man of God said so; don’t break your purposeful relationship just because a man of God said so.
Get married to that person because God said so and you are confident of your conviction!
This is why your ability to hear from God is critical because it would be challenged!
Be sure that you have truly heard from God and you both are not deceiving yourselves.
God is not an author of confusion.
Men of God are human to start with and are not above mistakes, they are not perfect. They would not be in your marriage with you; it is going to be you and your spouse and God!
Don’t be forced to get married to someone/ break your relationship just because of pressure, even from parents! If you do, it could end in premium tears later in life!
Be confident of your conviction and trust God for wisdom to go through that phase.
I hope this helps someone?
