TAKE RESPONSIBILITY

TAKE RESPONSIBILITY

A lot of times in my marriage I struggled with admitting and accepting my wrong and would blame hubby instead for why I did what I did. He would be so upset as a result and I would be upset that he is upset without apologising! Lol!

This reminds me of Adam’s reply to God after he had sinned. Instead of apologising, he blamed the woman and he blamed God too “…The woman you put here with me—she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it.” Genesis 3:12 NIV

Sometimes I imagine what the world could have been like if only Adam had taken responsibility for his actions and apologised to God. May be God would have had mercy and our world would have been heavenly?

Anyway, this is what happens in many marriages today. The inability to take responsibility for faults and weaknesses and playing the blame game has led many to divorce and others are headed in that direction already, sadly.

I tell couples who I counsel, “no matter how bad your marriage seems to be, if you both can take responsibility for your wrong actions and be willing to make a change, you can bounce back!”

Are you willing to take responsibility?

The choice is yours

Lots of Love,
