INTENTIONAL PARENTING
INTENTIONAL PARENTING

I once met a guy of marriageable age who was brought to the hospital by his parents because they wanted him to stop smoking Marijuana as it had affected him a lot mentally.
His parents had tried what looked like every means to get him to live a normal life, all of which proved abortive! They were frustrated! I remember the father telling me with so much pain that he wants his son to be off drugs, get a job, get married and have children of his own.
I felt sorry for him, he wanted a quick fix, which is unrealistic. I felt like asking the parents, “What were you doing and where were you when your son started smoking Marijuana at the age of 13?”
Parents, we have a window in our children’s lives to discipline, train and influence them positively. Once that window is gone, it is GONE!
If you succeed in making a good living but fail to teach your children how to live ‘right’, your success will be empty, and you’ll end up living with regrets. May that not be your portion in Jesus name.
Be intentional about being present physically, emotionally, spiritually and not just financially for your children.
I hope this helps someone?
May God help us in Jesus name 🙏
