SELF-CARE IS VERY IMPORTANT
SELF CARE IS VERY IMPORTANT
In church last weekend, we learnt about burnout.
When you’re feeling emotionally, physically and mentally overwhelmed and exhausted to the point where you begin to experience persistent headaches, tiredness, high blood pressure, poor sleep, loss of appetite and motivation. You are likely experiencing burnout.
We also learnt to manage burnout by knowing our boundaries and learning to say ‘NO’, speaking up to those around you, getting help by delegating tasks, taking sick leaves or annual leaves, going for vacation, seek counselling, spending time with your family/spouse, having sex.
In addition, resigning from the job that may be causing burnout if there’s no way out before you become depressed.
Self care is very important. Look after yourself before you burnout .
