Three wrong expectations to have as a Single Lady:

1. That your future husband will meet all your needs!

Some ladies will even target marrying rich men with the hope that he will meet all their needs. Work hard, be industrious and you would not need to depend on any man to meet your financial needs! Any man that comes across you will see you as an asset and not a liability.

No man can meet all your needs, only God!

2. That you will change him in marriage:

You’re dating him and you know that you can’t live with a particular behaviour of his but you tell yourself that you will change him in marriage!

If his parents couldn’t change him after decades and he couldn’t change himself, what makes you think that you can change him? You cannot change anyone!

If you go into marriage with this expectation, you may regret it.

3. That he would make you happy:

No man owes you your happiness; know this and know peace. The key to your happiness is in your hands! If you aren’t yet happy, make sure you are happy before you get into marriage. Don’t put the responsibility of your happiness on your husband. No matter what he does or doesn’t do, never tie your happiness to him else, you may end up being miserable as he may not live to your expectation.
